Founder & Managing Partner.
R. Patrick Weston founded Santee Private Capital to pursue lower middle market investment opportunities across the Southeastern United States.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience in private equity and private markets, he partners with management teams and investors to support ownership transitions, strategic growth initiatives, and long-term value creation.
Throughout his career, Patrick has focused on building strong partnerships with business owners and operators while structuring investments designed to support sustainable growth and enduring enterprise value.

Prior to founding Santee Private Capital, Patrick conceived and built Route 2 Capital Partners, where he led the firm’s investment strategy, fundraising efforts, and investor relationships over a nine-year period.
Earlier in his career, Patrick spent seventeen years at Azalea Capital, including serving as a Managing Partner, where he originated, structured, and managed lower middle market investments across a range of industries.
His prior roles also include serving as Vice President of Transamerica Mezzanine Financing, Inc. and Portfolio Manager with Liberty Capital Advisors.

Over the course of his career, Patrick has been involved in the sourcing, structuring, and management of more than fifty lower middle market investments and more than twenty-five successful exits.
He has served on the board of directors of numerous privately held businesses across multiple industries.
